PEDRO JOSE RODRIGUEZ LARRAÑAGA

Born in Donostia – San Sebastián.

He completed his musical studies in the city’s Higher Music Conservatory obtaining the highest grades. He has placed both as a soloist and as a member of chamber ensambles in the San Sebastian Musical Fortnight, March Foundation, Madrid University and in venues organised by the Basque Symphony Orchestra and the Navarrese Goverment.

He has played Ravel’s “Concerto in sol” and Beethoven “Choral Fantasy” with the Pablo Sarasate Orchestra. He has studied with D. Bashkirov, Manuel Carro,Fausto Zadro, Ana Guijarro, Rita Wagner and Ferenc Rados. He is the oficial piano placer in the Pablo Sarasate and Julián Gayarre Internacional Competitions.

These recordings were carried out at the Pablo Sarasate Higher Music Conservatory of Iruña–Pamplona and the piano used was the Steinway and Sons Nº 506460. The recordings were carried out by Xabier Mugika and Juan Rekarte at 48kHz, 16-bit.The remastering to 96kHz, 24-bit was donebyausArt records.
